Witch Ball

Sabine Rose, the heroine of Witch Ball by Linda Joy Singleton (Llewellyn), is a psychic. She hides her powers from her popular friends and dreamy boyfriend by day and consults with her spirit guide by night. Sabine finds herself in the dark when a haunted crystal ball makes prognostications about four kids at the high school carnival, including the revelation that Sabine will die in four days. She must find a way to understand and eliminate the power of the witch ball before it claims her life. Meanwhile, she has other concerns: serious problems with her parents, confusion about boys and big worries about juggling all of her secrets. She also happens to be searching for a magical remedy to cure her grandmother, and she has friends who can talk to animals. Witch Ball is funny and concise, and Singleton deftly combines a supernatural story with the daily difficulties of teenage life.
