Way of Nature, a year on a Swedish farm

Kris Rothstein

Way of Nature, a beautiful, contemplative film about the natural rhythms that govern a traditional (with a few updates) northern European farm. It's not really a film about nature per se, but the business of raising livestock of various kinds and though you wouldn't think this would get a lot of laughs, there are many moments of humour, mostly due to the four very curious (and lazy) dogs.

It is not until the end of the film that we learnt something special about the farm - it has received environmental commendations for helping to preserve endangered domestic breeds and promoting biological diversity.

It's on Oct 5th and 12th at 3:45, first at the Granville and then at the Vancity.
