Oh, Johnny Weir. I had no idea how fabulous you actually are. When you’re on—your breathless triple axel–triple toe combinations; your refreshing honesty, about your sport in particular, and life in general; your glitter-and-more-glitter-please costumes—you’re brilliant, but when you’re off—your ill-timed drug references (“My program style is more like vodka shots and snorting coke” after a post-skate Q & A); your mental meltdowns at competition crunch time—you’re spectacular. I’m hooked, Johnny Weir, and I’ll be cheering
for you at the 2010 U.S. Nationals and hoping that you return to the Olympics, though by then you’ll be competing against Canada’s own little

Blink is a documentary film from National Geographic, which follows a Montreal family with four children, three of whom have retinitis pigmentosa, a genetic condition causing gradual loss of vision and probable blindness. They decide to set out on a trip around the world, in order to fill their children’s visual memories, so that they can at least recall the world and its wonders.
