The Lock Keeper

THE EDITORS

My greatest thrill was travelling the Trent-Severn Canal System and playing my guitar and singing Stan Rogers Songs on a house boat. The biggest thrill was doing “The Lock Keeper” at the second largest lock on the system and having quite an audience and getting a good reception from the listeners. Stan’s music has always be one of my loves since I came across his music about 17 years ago. My favorite song that I do each Christmas is Stan's “First Christmas.” When I first heard it sung by Stan I cried it moved me so much. I being a Canadian living abroad believe Stan is a true Canadian Treasure and should have been in the Canadian Hall of Fame long before now.
