Slow Train

THE EDITORS

I became enchanted by “The Guysborough Train” during 1977. This was then a CBC broadcast recording that couldn’t be purchased. I even acquired a copy of the thesis on the history of that train. After his set at the 1978 Vancouver Folk Festival I spoke to Stan pleading for its early release. Stan flew into a rage, sparked by his one-sided first record contract. Patience won out years later. “The Guysborough Train” remains my favourite of favourites.
