Early Meeting

THE EDITORS

I met Stan Rogers in July 1979 at the Festival for the Folks in Ottawa. I was almost five months old. My dad had volunteered to man the backstage gate. I was there when Stan walked by on the way to play his set. Nearly a quarter-century later, I am heavily involved in Ottawa’s revived Festival for the Folks. I think meeting Stan at such an early age must have something to do with that.
